For those older women with chiseled Pilates arms, this post is not for you. For the rest of us, as we age and find our workout time frittered away by Ubering children and running errands, fashion has helped us out of late by offering up numerous long sleeve options on tops, dresses, etc. The ugly truth is that older women like myself (again, not speaking to the Bikram yogis) weren’t meant to showcase their aging arms forever. A long sleeve, be it sheer or full, slim or statement, is like a little lifeline, a stylish camouflage to dressing survival. For example, when was the last time you saw Victoria Beckham in anything but a long sleeve? Rachel Zoe? Kelly Ripa? A long, elegant sleeve takes the spotlight off your keratosis pilaris-speckled arms and puts it on your stunning face and gorgeous hair.
