Letterman Sweater Belongs to Legendary Tucson Football Family

An amazing piece of football history dropped into my hands this weekend. My girls wanted to go thrift shopping (because their favorite YouTubers do this..), so we stopped at Goodwill on Saturday. Lo and behold, I find this beautiful Arizona letterman sweater with the name “O’Dowd” stitched into the inside. Long story short, I think we figured out it might belong to Jack O’Dowd, a 1932 UA lineman whose grandson, Kristofer, was one of Salpointe Catholic’s and USC’s best football players. Kris and his grandfather both played center on the offensive line and I was so excited to let him know I found it. I delivered it to his mom this morning. As a passionate UA football fan, today was one of the best days of my life!
