Carrie Cecil, wife of famed UA All-American Chuck Cecil and an accomplished author, is penning a weekly column for the Arizona Daily Star sports section. Cecil is a strategist and crisis communications expert. She’s basically the Olivia Pope of the sports world, as she is quoted in today’s paper. Cecil is called on to quell escalating PR headaches for collegiate and professional coaches, ADs, athletes and more.
And now, this Tucson native is going to be writing a weekly column for the Star during football season, which as a football fan, I can’t wait to read. The newspaper announced in today’s edition that the column, to be called The Red Zone, will delve into pertinent issues in athletics, sports business and “of course, a little of life with No. 6,” she told the Star.
