Fashion treasure hunting has a strong Northwest Tucson contender in Goodwill’s GoodThreads Boutique on Oracle. I finally checked out the location earlier this week after my friend, Katie, found a cute cow print purse there. I didn’t have such luck, but I almost bought a pair of brand new, gray boots from a Cole Haan/Sharapova collab–I can’t buy any more boots, it’s an addiction!
Styled very similar to a Buffalo Exchange store, GoodThreads sells the higher-quality goods that people throw out on a Marie Kondo whim. From cowboy boots to belts, wall posters to evening gowns and purses, this boutique has clusters of items stuffed in all corners that are worthy of a new home. If you saw the dire climate change news this week, we should no longer scoff at buying used goods, especially fashion. Hey, and there’s a 50% off sale this Saturday, May 18!
One word of caution: the Coach bags there seemed authentic, but the Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Fendi bags the store was selling looked pretty fake or dragged-by-a-car-for-a-mile-damaged.Β
Thanks for all the good finds, Tara. This might be a fun mother/daughter thing to do this summer. We should meet up with the NCL girls to show them how much fun second hand shopping can be.
